User Monitoring
(Professional Edition Only)
PC Chaperone provides several monitoring options designed to collect information on user activities
Internet Browsing Activity
This logging option is used to record the web pages a user visits

The Advanced Options are used to indicate if all pages are to be recorded, or only attempted page visits that violate the Internet Filters
Keystroke Logging
This logging option is used to record keystrokes made by the user in any program

The Advanced Options are used to set which programs keystroke logging will be performed for
There are three options for determining which programs keystroke logging will be active for:
1. Perform logging for all programs
This option will perform keystroke logging for all programs
2. Perform logging for programs with a schedule
This option will perform keystroke logging for programs that have a Program Schedule or that have been added to a Program Group
3. Perform logging for the following programs
This option will perform keystroke logging for programs added to the program list
Program Usage Logging
Program usage logging keeps a record of which programs users are accessing and for how long

These reports can prove useful in determining how a computer is being used. At home they can help identify homework distractions and in the office they can help reduce employee distractions
Notes
1. A program is considered to be active when it is the foreground program
The time stamps and durations recorded refer to the periods when the program is the active program, meaning the user is currently using the program. Programs running in the background are not recorded as active
