How comprehensive and reliable is the PC Chaperone white list?

The PC Chaperone white list is quite comprehensive, but it does not cover all child safe
sites available on the Internet. We make all efforts to ensure that the domains on our
white list are indeed child safe, but we cannot guarantee that domains on this list will
not be purchased by undesirable content providers in the interim between our confirmation
checks

Importing custom lists
|

The Import / Copy button is used to either copy lists from other security policies or
to import lists from text files. Text files need to be formatted with only one web site per
line to be imported properly

How web pages are compared to custom white list entries
|
|
|
|
A web page is compared to the custom white list by checking for the white list entry in both the
web page's address and its title. This comparison is in fact a keyword comparison. For example,
if the string "childsafe" is entered as a white list entry then any page that has the text "childsafe"
in either the address or the page title will be considered a match
|

Filter rule precedence
|
|
|
|
The customizable URL white list takes precedence over all other filters. Therefore, if a web page
is being blocked by one of the built-in filters, such as the
Adult Content Filters,
adding the web page to the URL white list will override the filter and permit the site
|
