The instant messenger parental controls are designed to control how and when
AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), Windows Live Messenger (MSN), and Yahoo Instant Messenger
are used

The first concern these controls address is who users can engage
in conversations with by giving the ability to control which contacts are permitted.
Any attempt to start a conversation with any other contact will fail. This is an excellent
way of preventing Internet predators from contacting your children through these messengers
|

|
|
To limit the time spent using instant messengers the scheduling options are used
to permit access only during specific periods or for a maximum duration
per day. These schedule types can also be combined. For example, a schedule can be created that
permits access at any time between 5:00pm and 10:00pm, but for a maximum of two hours
|

|
|
